Our program is based on the foundation that great genetics, proper feeding programs and local aging and processing produce consistently great quality eating experiences every time you go to your freezer. The bottom line – we love great steaks, roasts and burgers at our own family supper table - and we know how to make them for you, from day one to your plate.
Our beef is ethically raised and fed by us and our genetic customers, handpicked by Dan, harvested at one good old local inspected locker plant where it is well-aged to improve tenderness, and cut to your specifications, and eaten at your supper tables.
Our genetic program ensures built-in tenderness and marbling (juiciness). In fact we DNA test and performance-test our breeding stock to identify the best animals in our herd. We don’t just rely on breed or hide color. Our feeding programs provide common-sense goodness and animal husbandry. We take good care of our livestock, and they return the favor.
We believe that proven safe and approved technologies will continue to feed more people in our hungry world. However, we respect the wishes of our customers, so our freezer beef cattle are not implanted or fed antibiotics prior to harvest. This is our common-sense approach – we take care of our cattle the way we would take care of our own kids; proper care, proper nutrition, proper health care. Most of our customers prefer our juicy, flavorful grain-fed beef, but we can provide grass-fed beef by prearranged appointment if you prefer that eating experience.
